ABJ SUBSTACK IS LIVE
Weekly, Tactical, No B.S. Advice About Personal Branding, Leading, & Scaling
Being an entrepreneur is hard.
It’s exhilarating, rewarding, and beautiful. But it’s still hard.
No matter the number of books you’ve read, podcasts you’ve listened to, or events you’ve attended, nothing truly prepares you for the emotional rollercoaster of entrepreneurship. Nothing else can make you feel a more empowering liberation one moment and soul-crushing defeat the next.
But entrepreneurship is what changes our world. It has the power to push us forward, evolve us as a people, and solve critical problems that impact millions of people. For better or worse, nearly all creation these days is a form of entrepreneurship.
So whether you identify with that term or not, if you are a maker, executer, thinker, or strategizer that works for yourself in some capacity, you are an entrepreneur.
And I believe in you and your ability to change this world.
That’s why I created this newsletter. To support you on your journey as a creator, a doer, an impactor.
To help give you the insight, advice, and inspiration you need to build a business that you freaking love. One that creates a lasting impact in your world and freedom in your life.
In case you have no idea who the hell I am, I’m Kasey Jones. I’m a thought leadership and growth coach to entrepreneurs, business leaders, and ambitious dreamers. I’ve been an entrepreneur in some fashion since I was a teenager, long before I had any idea that’s what it was. I’ve always been a scrappy, do-it-yourself-er.
Not the crafty kind, but the sort that would get a crappy job and immediately find a more efficient, more creative way to deliver massive results and somehow get paid for it.
I’ve made a career of being in over my head, doing more with less, and trying to inspire others to do the same. I never worked anywhere famous, impressive, or where my stock options were worth a lick. But I have learned a lot and tinkered, tested, and iterated those learnings 100x over.
All so I can help others do it better.
Here’s what you can expect from this newsletter:
No bullshit, honest, I’ve-been-there takes on the good, the bad, and the ugly of growing your startup, small business, or side hustle.
With plenty of tactical advice on how to do it smartly, common pitfalls to avoid, and ways to leap ahead.
Mr. Rogers meets Jocko Willink style motivational content designed to push you to show up as the elevated and empowered version of yourself you know you were meant to be.
It’s my personal mission to inspire you to embrace all the sh** that society tells you makes you weird, different, or broken and turn it into your competitive advantage.
Interviews and features of founders with notable successes in business, sharing their skills, smarts, and insights on growth, branding, and impact.
I’ll place a heavy emphasis on the way building a powerful personal brand and a badass network of industry pros who’ve got your back can unlock the opportunities that make sustainable growth possible.
If you’re a founder, a freelancer, or fantasizer of either, I hope you’ll subscribe and join me on this journey and invite 3 friends along for the ride.

As a strategy consultant and advisor to tech/digital startup and scale-up founders, learning to be comfortable being uncomfortable and riding the highs and lows between project assignments is one of the biggest lessons over the past four years. The safe harbour of a career, working for well-known brands, and amassing knowledge and experience has enabled me to do what I do, but building your brand and niche takes resilience and patience and is very much worth it. Life is a learning process, so any knockback is an opportunity for growth, reframing, or filed in the experience bank.
